Untitled-To Johnny Rocwell

I stop at the corner. Billboards above me, giant advertisements all telling me what I want and need. As if something materialistic like cologne or the latest watch could bring happiness to the human soul; fools. It all came down to money and power, and that is what this city fed on: power over the people. If I were young this is when I would have dreamt of heroes. I looked upward at the menacing red letters in the neon sign. Pharmaceutical corporations, this generation's Jesus.

(This is from my first graphic novel script. It's still untitled. I'm about 88 pages into it. It's complicated so I'm going to revise it again. I was a biotech student back in the day so I'm trying to make parts of this as real as possible. Thought I'd share.)
